Update Coronavirus

Dear Mountain Bike Fans

Now that the Federal Council has extended the ban on events until the end of August 2020, it is clear that the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup in Lenzerheide cannot take place from 14 to 16 August 2020 as planned. If the federal measures to combat the COVID 19 pandemic allow it, the event will now take place from 4 to 6 September 2020. The programme includes not only the already well-known discipline of Cross-Country Olympic (XCO) including Short Track (XCC), but also the new discipline of Downhill (DHI). The planned first edition of the UCI Trials World Cup in Lenzerheide will be cancelled.

As a result of the COVID 19 pandemic, the planned World Cup cycle for mountain bikers was more than upset. However, the International Cycling Union (UCI) is planning to restart the season from September 2020. The UCI Mountain Bike World Cup in Lenzerheide from 4 to 6 September 2020 will be the first event of the season. However, the staging of the event is still dependent on the decisions of the Federal Council and the cantonal authorities. The organisers are hoping for the details announced at the end of May 2020 regarding a relaxation of the ban on the event from September 2020. Planning will continue on the basis of this forthcoming information and guidelines. Information on the resumption of advance ticket sales and possible restrictions for spectators can therefore not be expected until the beginning of June 2020.

Tickets already purchased for the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup in Lenzerheide remain valid and can either be redeemed on the postponement date or will be refunded at full price. Online ticket sales on will be suspended until further notice.

We wish everyone the best of health!
