Emotional farewells and Swiss triumphs
Lenzerheide became the stage for great emotions. Linda Indergand and Camille Balanche will bid their farewells at the end of the season. Thomas Litscher and crowd favorite Nino Schurter competed in their very last World Cup races in Lenzerheide. The four Swiss bike legends were celebrated with thunderous applause. The LOC and the region honored Nino with a throne for the King of the Bike Kingdom. The atmosphere was simply electric.
At the same time, Switzerland celebrated major sporting successes: On Sunday, Alessandra Keller claimed gold in the Cross-Country Olympic (XCO) race, crowning a perfect weekend. Earlier, Finn Treudler demonstrated that the future of Swiss mountain biking is bright by winning both the XCC and XCO races.
Side events and atmosphere
The races were not the only thing to thrill the crowds. The Whip-Off Contest showcased the best tricks, while the Event Village, complete with an expo, team trucks and food stands, attracted thousands of fans. Concerts in the Party Dome kept the celebrations going late into the night. The weekend turned into a festival for the whole family and the entire cycling community.
Team work makes the dream work
«We couldn’t have wished for a better weekend – sporting highlights, emotional moments, a fantastic atmosphere, and perfect weather. Lenzerheide has once again shown why it is a true heart of the mountain bike world. My heartfelt thanks go to all the volunteers, the region, our partners and suppliers, as well as the army and civil defense. Without this incredible support, such an event would not be possible,» says OC President Christoph Müller.
Save the Date – June 2026
The success story continues. From 19 to 21 June 2026, the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup will return to Lenzerheide. Tickets are already on sale. The next bike party is waiting.
