Let’s celebrate – one month to go until the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Cup in Lenzerheide

The excitement is huge – in just one month, Lenzerheide will not only celebrate the return of the World Cup to the Bike Kingdom, but also an unforgettable highlight with Nino’s farewell. « I am delighted to be ending my World Cup career in Lenzerheide at my favorite race. This is where I experienced one of my greatest highlights—winning the world championship title in 2018. And now I am looking forward to once again experiencing the unique atmosphere of this place.», says Nino Schurter. The program features Cross-Country Olympic (XCO), Short Track (XCC) and Downhill (DHI). Lenzerheide is the final European stop of the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series 2025 before the series continues in North America.

Wildcards for three Swiss teams 
Particularly exciting: thanks to wildcards, additional Swiss athletes will be competing. The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) and Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) Sports have confirmed the selection of three Swiss teams for a wildcard. For BIXS Performance Race Team, Bike Team Solothurn, and Thömus Akros - Youngstars, this is a chance to prove themselves on the big stage – Thömus Akros - Youngstars is even celebrating its first participation in the 2025 series.

Side events – music, party and vibes
In addition to the sporting highlights, a varied supporting program ensures top-notch entertainment: On Friday evening, the Saint City Orchestra will get the Event Village rocking with Irish rock ‘n’ roll, a lively atmosphere, and a rousing show. On Saturday, the guys from Crossed will heat things up twice with their energetic 90s crossover, bringing back memories of bands like Rage Against the Machine and the Beastie Boys. On both evenings, DJ OK will ensure that the atmosphere remains at its peak.
